nife batteries

Nickel-iron, or NiFe, batteries were considered and tested because of their long life and tolerance for abuse. Their disadvantages include low efficiency, high water use, and large size compared with more common battery types. Unfortunately the nickel plates were too old and corroded to be of piratical use on Seeker.
