Decks

Deck Braces

The decks are supported by bent angle iron to give them a slight curve and those are attached to the sides of the hull with braces.

The bad thing about bending angle iron is that it will been sideways as well as the direction you are trying to bend it.  So we used a hydraulic pipe bender and bent the angle a second time; every two feet, in order to remove the sideways bend.

Plasma Cut Mermaid Deck Brace

One thing we really love about building our boat is that it will be ours.  We don't have to care about if someone else will like or not like, we can make it as we like.
